Founders of Sock it to Homelessness

Our Story

After reading an inspiring article on Huffington Post by Dr. Brian Boxer Wachler, we decided to start Sock It To Homelessness. When contacting local shelters, we found that EVERYONE needs socks! Think about it; people donate clothes and coats, but no one donates socks. We began by asking family and friends for new socks to distribute to shelters in New York City and New Jersey. Our family now ventures into the city and around New Jersey to deliver socks to those in need. We do not accept monetary donations - only NEW socks. 100% of our donations benefit those in need. So please help us help someone else, and together, we can Sock it to Homelessness.
